Do-Drul Chorten is located at a distance of 5km from Gangtok. It is often considered to be the biggest and most important stupa in Sikkim. It was built by Trulshik Rinpoche who was the head of the Nyingma order of Tibetan Buddhism in 1945.
It is a beautiful ivory formation, topped with a striking gold spire. A visit to the place offers spiritual tranquility and inner happiness. Along with that, the ambiance of the place is quite pleasing and peaceful. Spending some time here will provide you with lots of unforgettable memories.

Situated at a distance of 20km from Gangtok, Ranka Monastery is another beautiful place which you should visit. It is also known as Lingdum Monastery. It is a very peaceful place. The monastery follows the Zurmang Kagyud lineage of Buddhism. Best time to visit it is during prayer, as the monks sing Hymns with various musical instruments and traditional Buddhist gong.
