Day 1- NJP to Sillery Gaon

After your arrival at NJP Station, you will head towards Sillery Gaon. It takes approximately 4 hours to reach there by car. It is located at an altitude of 6,000 ft in Kalimpong sub-division. The main attraction of this place is the glimpses of Mount Kanchenjunga, for which tourists gather here. For the rest of day, you can be at leisure or take a walk on the nearby roads.

You will stay overnight in Sillery Gaon.

Day 2- Sillery Gaon to Mankhim

You have to wake up early in the morning. After having breakfast, you will set off for Mankhim. It takes approximately 58 minutes to reach, covering 49 km. It is situated over Dalapchand village. It is located just beside the Lampokhri Lake which has the best boating facility in Sikkim. You will enjoy the boating after lunch and then you will move forward to sightseeing places like Mankhim View Point, Mankhim Temple, Aritar Dakbunglow, Aritar Monastery.

You will stay overnight in Mankhim.

Day 3- Mankhim to Zuluk

On day 3 you will be going towards Zuluk. It takes 48 minutes to drive there covering almost 40 km. It is situated at an elevation of 10,100 ft and is an emerging offbeat destination in East Sikkim. You will explore amazing spots here, such as Padamchen, Zuluk via Lingtum, Kheukhela falls. After that, you can enjoy delicious lunch there. Enjoy the breathtaking view of the sunset at Zuluk.

You will stay overnight in Zuluk.

Day 4- Zuluk to Nathang

After having your breakfast, you will move towards Nathang. It takes 43 minutes to drive there covering almost 22.9 km area. On the way, you will explore some other exciting destinations like 95 Turns, Thambi View Point, Lungthung, Lungthung, Laxman Chowk, Tukla Valley, Nathang Valley, Old Baba Mandir and Jelep-la Pass View. After that, you will reach Kupup which is situated at an elevation of 13,900 ft. Yak Golf Course at Kupup is the world's highest Golf Course which is located at 13,025 ft. Kupup also has an Ice Hockey Ground.

You will stay overnight in Nathang.

Day 5- Nathang to Rongpokhola Sikkim

You will be given a wakeup call early in the morning, as you have to travel a distance of 118.6 km. It takes 3 hours and 59 minutes to reach Rongpo khola from Nathang. Where you can enjoy fishing and river rafting in the crystal clear water of the Rongpo river.

You will stay overnight in Rongpokhola.

Day 6- Rongpokhola to NJP

After having your breakfast, you will be transferred back to NJP. It takes 3 hours and 55 minutes to reach NJP from Rongpokhola. On the way, you can enjoy the mesmerizing view of the hills.

Best time to visit the Silk Route

Sikkim is located at high altitudes; hence it has chilled weather. So summer (May to November) is the best time to travel to the Silk Route in Sikkim. During this time of the year, the temperature varies between 10 degrees to 15 degrees. The weather remains pleasing for traveling. The nature blooms to its best and primulas & Rhododendron can be seen in a large number.
