It is the most popular destination which offers the splendid and clear view of the Mt. Kanchenjunga and Mt. Siniolchu. It is just situated 3.5 kilometers away from Mangan and an ideal place for an overnight stop after a tiring North Sikkim day tour. All those who want to skip the crowd of Gangtok can visit Singhik to get refreshed on the last day of their tour. Best time to visit: The ideal time to visit Singhik is between March and May during the summer and September to October during winter. The months of July and August experience heavy rainfall and is considered very risky to visit.

By Air: The nearest airport to Singhik is Bagdogra Airport and you can reach Mangan from Gangtok by hiring a car rental at Bagdogra airport. From there Singhik is just 4 kilometers by road. By Rail: New Jalpaiguri Railway Station is the nearest railway station which is connected to all other major cities in India to Singhik. By Road: The nearest place to reach Singhik by road is Siliguri. You can avail of the NJP to Gangtok car rent to Mangan. From there you can reach Singhik by a 12 minutes drive or walk.

This monastery is one of the significant monasteries in Sikkim. It is located in the North district of Sikkim and is around 30 kilometers away from Singhik. The religious name of the monastery is Karma Tashi Tso Khorling Gumpa which was built in 1723 and later a new monastery was built beside the old one. Highlights:

3- Tingchim Monastery:
It is a small village located between the famous Phodong monastery and Mangan in North Sikkim. It is one of the cleanest villages in India. There is a small lake known as Tingchim Lake which is dark black and the rest part of the lake is green in color. It is a small unexplored village but Kabi has a very important significance in the history of Sikkim where the �blood brotherhood treaty� was signed. Mt. Kanchenjunga was held as a witness to the treaty wherein the two tribes promised to remain as blood brothers and the place where the treaty was signed is still visited in the forests of Kabi.
