Darjeeling – The Queen of Hills
A place situated in the queen of hills, Darjeeling not only attracts travellers for its ethereal beauty but also for the abundance of culture and historical resemblance that it has had since the British rule in India. Darjeeling can be easily termed as the heritage town of the North Bengal which is situated at a height of 2042 meter above the sea level. One of the favourite tourist destinations, Tiger Hill is the highest range of Darjeeling which is 2573 meters from the sea level. It is exactly this point where you can visit early in the morning to get a mindboggling view of the Khangchendzonga ranges covered with golden rays of sun.
Another amazing fact related to this place is however, the Ghoom Station, which according to the UNESCO is the World Heritage Site because it has the highest railway station in the entire world.
